Reborn Bikes supports the community through various programs including:
Summer camps are not only for bike safety and skills training, they are a traditional summer day camp with sports, arts, swimming, and trips to bowling— the difference is all is done by bike so the campers are active all day, building friendships in tandem with bike skills and confidence. At the end of camp, the attendees get to keep the bikes so they can continue riding and utilize them for transportation and recreation in their everyday life. Scholarships are available.
We offer a portfolio of clinics and classes including:
In 2022, we began a partnership with Reborn Bikes to expand our mission beyond kids. We are working with an ever-growing list of social services organizations to deliver our bikes and programming to other underserved groups in need of bikes and transportation assistance. We are now providing bikes and skills/bike safety classes to veterans, refugee groups, and the homeless population.
In 2023, we gave out over 5,000 bikes to individuals in need. This was largely accomplished through Bike Rodeo events where we partnered with Title 1 Schools and other social services organizations such as IRCO, Pear:Bikeworks, Catholic Charities, Self Enhancement Inc, Northwest Lutheran Community Services, and Easter Seals). Our social service partners are experiencing continual increased need for their services.
